The Short Version

If you have ever wished you could fire up a real charcoal grill without hauling a full sized setup everywhere you go, this two pack disposable charcoal grill is the answer. At $18.99 for two grills you get authentic charcoal flavor, a complete ready to use setup right out of the box, and a cleanup process that is as easy as folding an aluminum pan and tossing it in a trash bag. My daughter-in-law and son-in-law tried these out on the back of a pontoon boat on a lake, and the smell was so good that other boats came over to find out how someone was actually grilling in the middle of the water.

Why We Bought It

Full disclosure here. I do not personally own this grill. What I have instead is a firsthand review from my daughter-in-law and son-in-law, who used it on a recent lake day with friends and were genuinely blown away by how well it performed. When they came to visit and we were talking through my Amazon review site, both of them were emphatic that this product needed to be on it. My son-in-law loves to grill and is not easily impressed when it comes to outdoor cooking. His enthusiasm, combined with the story of neighbors on the water pulling their boats over to find out how someone was grilling in the middle of a lake, was all the convincing I needed.

What Is In the Box

The Real Life Experience

My daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and a group of friends took one of these two packs out on a pontoon boat for a lake day. The group included seven people total, and they were looking for something better than the usual ham and cheese or turkey sandwiches they always brought along. They had recently come across this disposable grill and decided to give it a shot.

They set the aluminum wire stand directly on top of their plastic cooler, placed the grill pan on top of the stand, and lit it without any prep or seasoning. The charcoal heated up quickly. My son-in-law, who has years of grilling experience, said it cooked exactly like any other charcoal grill. Three hamburgers fit on the grate at a time, and between the hamburgers and hot dogs they cooked, they fed all seven people without any issue.

One of the details that stood out most was the aluminum stand. It did not get hot. They set it directly on a plastic cooler and there was no melting, no warping, no damage to the cooler underneath. The heat stayed in the pan and the grate where it belonged.

The smoke was present but not overwhelming. Present enough to do something remarkable. Boats on the lake started pulling over because people could smell charcoal hamburgers cooking in the middle of the water and wanted to know how it was even possible. That is the kind of smoke that means great food is happening, not the kind that drives people away.

The grill lasted well past the one and a half hours advertised. My son-in-law noted the charcoal held its heat for a long time after they finished cooking. He added lake water to help cool it down and it still took considerable time to fully cool. Once it was safe to handle, cleanup was simple. He picked up the aluminum pan, folded it, dropped it in a trash bag along with the stand, and that was it. No ash mess, no scrubbing, nothing left behind.

What I Love

Everything comes ready to use straight out of the box. No extra gear needed beyond a spatula or tongs. The aluminum stand does not conduct heat, so setting it on a plastic cooler with zero damage is a serious practical win. Real charcoal flavor and real charcoal performance. Not a compromise, not a gimmick, actual grilled food with that authentic taste you only get from charcoal. It feeds a group without issue. Seven people, hamburgers and hot dogs, handled without a problem. Cleanup is as simple as letting it cool and tossing the whole thing. At roughly $9.50 per grill, the value is exceptional for what you get, and the charcoal stays hot long enough to get the job done every time.

What I Would Change

The cooldown time is longer than you might expect. The charcoal holds heat well, which is great for cooking but means you need to plan ahead for safe disposal. If you are somewhere without access to water, factor in extra time before you can pack it away. The cooking surface fits three hamburgers at a time, so if you are feeding a larger group you will be working in rounds. Completely manageable, but worth knowing before you go.

Who This Is Perfect For

Anyone who wants real charcoal flavor without hauling a full grill to the lake, the tailgate, the campsite, or the beach. Boaters and lake day crews tired of cold sandwiches who want hot food on the water. Tailgaters who want that charcoal taste without the setup and teardown. Campers looking for a no fuss, no cleanup grilling option. Anyone heading to a beach, a park, or a picnic spot where a traditional grill is not an option. And honestly, anyone who wants to be the most impressive person on the water.

The Verdict

This two pack disposable charcoal grill does exactly what it promises and then some. It set up in seconds, cooked real food with real charcoal flavor, fed seven people without breaking a sweat, and cleaned up in under a minute. The aluminum stand kept heat away from surfaces it should not touch, the grill outlasted its advertised time, and the charcoal smell was so good that strangers on the water came looking for the source.

For $18.99 you get two grills. That is roughly $9.50 to have a fully functional charcoal grill anywhere you go, with zero cleanup commitment. My son-in-law loves to grill and he called this impressive. That is not a word he uses lightly.
