The Short Version
If you have thick hair and you are tired of the three step wash, air dry, blow dry, flat iron routine, the APOKE 3 in 1 Hair Dryer Brush might be the tool that finally changes your morning. It dries and straightens my thick, below the shoulder dark hair in about five minutes, leaves it silky soft with a shine I do not get from my flat iron, and has held up beautifully for over a year of regular use.

Why I Bought It
My hair is thick, dark brown, and falls below my shoulders. Living in Florida now means ocean water and pool water are a regular part of life, and both will dry your hair out faster than almost anything else. My old routine was exhausting. Wash, let it air dry partway, blow dry it, then finish with the flat iron. Two heat tools, a significant chunk of time, and my hair still never looked or felt the way I wanted it to.
I started looking for something that could combine the drying and straightening steps into one, both to save time and to reduce the total amount of heat I was putting on my hair. When I found the APOKE advertised as suitable for all hair types including thick hair, and capable of drying, straightening, and combing in a single pass, I decided it was worth trying.
That was over a year ago and it has not left my routine since.
What Is In the Box

The Real Life Experience
I want to be upfront about one thing because I think it matters for anyone with genuinely thick hair. The APOKE cannot power through soaking wet thick hair right out of the shower. If I try to use it immediately after washing, it struggles. My routine now is to wash my hair, let it air dry for thirty to forty five minutes until it is damp but not dripping, and then pick up the APOKE.
From that point it takes about five minutes to completely dry and straighten my entire head of thick below the shoulder hair. Five minutes. That alone was enough to make me convert.
But what really sold me is what my hair looks and feels like when I am done. It comes out straight, smooth, and has a glistening shine to it that I honestly do not get when I use my flat iron alone. It feels silky and soft without any additional product. No serum, no finishing spray, nothing extra. Just the APOKE.
The tool itself is lighter than a traditional hair dryer, which matters more than you might think when you are working through thick hair and your arm is already doing the work. It runs a little quieter than a standard blow dryer too, not silent, but noticeably less aggressive. The cord wraps up neatly with the included velcro loop and the whole thing slides right under the bathroom sink without taking up the footprint a traditional blow dryer demands.
After more than a year of regular use I have had zero issues with it. Zero.

What I Love
The combination of drying and straightening in a single pass is everything I hoped it would be. Less heat on my hair overall, less time in the bathroom, and a result that genuinely looks and feels better than my old two tool routine. The shine it produces is something I was not expecting and now I cannot imagine going back.
What I Would Change
Honestly nothing. My only wish is that I had found it sooner.
Who This Is Perfect For
Anyone currently running a multi step hair routine that involves air drying followed by blow drying followed by straightening. If you have thick hair, budget an air dry window before you pick it up and you will not be disappointed. If you have thinner hair you may be able to use it on wetter hair and cut that wait time down significantly. It is also a great fit for anyone who needs to get ready quickly and wants dry, straight, polished hair without pulling out two separate tools. If salt water and chlorine are part of your regular life and your hair is paying the price, this is a worthwhile investment at under thirty three dollars.
The Verdict
The APOKE 3 in 1 Hair Dryer Brush does exactly what it promises. For thick hair it works best on damp rather than soaking wet hair, but once you factor that into your routine the results are genuinely impressive. Dry, straight, shiny, soft hair in about five minutes. Over a year of use with no issues. Under thirty three dollars. It earns its spot under my sink every single time I use it.
